Composite Door and Windows Installation
These photographs represent part of a refurbishment project of a detached house based in West Auckland. In total the scheme was for the replacement of the windows and entrance doors throughout. The project in total was for the four casement bedroom windows and the bathroom window on the first floor. With the lounge, dining room, kitchen, breakfast room and utility room casement windows on the ground floor. This project demonstrates the flexibility that Thermopanes are more than happy to provide their clients and the willingness to work together to achieve great quality new windows and doors in the North East.
Further to this was the large glazed panel adjacent to the front door in the hallway, together with the new composite front door. Finally the scheme was completed with a new UPVC half glazed back door leading out of the breakfast room at the rear of the house.
Because of the volume of work involved with the project Thermopanes together with the client established a phased installation programme of the windows and doors to reduce the impact of the work on the household and also to spread the expenditure for the client.
Dummy Sash Window Installation
This style of Casement window is offered as an alternative to the traditional sash window. Featuring the traditional “Cottage Horns”retaining the original style associated with this design, we are able to provide a more modern approach, but with the practicality of a more conventional outward opening window.
Thermopanes Windows and Doors will be more than happy to advise clients of the choices of style available and to look at suitable alternatives for individual applications of new windows and doors in the North East.
Tilt and Turn Window Installation
The Tilt and Turn window is a popular alternative casement style window, available as an option to more conventional openers and frequently asked for
when considering replacement bedroom windows.
As the name describes this type of opener can be used with the tilt function to provide ventilation to the room or can also turn to a full ninety degree opening.
This can offer the possibility of cleaning the outside of the window from inside the room.
As with all Thermopanes Windows and Doors our windows are offered in both a range of styles and finishes, the Heritage range, in particular the Anthracite Grey or the Chartwell Green, proving very poular currently. However many other choices exist, any of which we would be pleased to discuss and provide samples.
UPVC Door Installation
UPVC Doors remain a highly popular and cost effective solution for both front or rear entrances. Particularly popular as a back door alternative as shown in these
photographs, providing high levels of insulation and a very secure maintenance free entrance door. As well as the door illustrated, the Stable Door style is also available as a further alternative.
As well as the historically popular white doors this type of door is now available in a range of colours and glazing options, frequently supplied as a competitively priced alternative
to the Composite door range, for front entrances.
In order to assist clients with their choice of door Thermopanes Windows and Doors will be pleased to provide whatever guidance nescessary to achieve the best solution for every type of application.
